The test industry is in the midst of change. Where test systems once served only final inspection and quality assurance in production, product design today increasingly begins on the computer. Long before a prototype lies on the test rig as hardware-in-the-loop (HIL), engineers are already working virtually with model- and software-in-the-loop (MIL/SIL). In this way, continuous testing becomes a constant companion of product development.

Gamma is used not only in aerospace testing but also in automotive — above all in hardware-in-the-loop test systems. Gamma handles every individual control task with simulation, generates the desired states for the test objects and records the system’s response. Python scripts and adapted drivers make it possible to automate test tasks, simulate interfaces and inject targeted faults. The Gamma-based HIL systems are easily extended with third-party components.
